What It Shows

Email Notifications is the alerting layer of GBP Hub. Account managers receive targeted email alerts when important GBP events occur across their assigned client locations.

Alert types:

  • New review — triggered on every new review, with optional rating threshold filtering (e.g. only alert on 3-star and below)
  • Profile change — detected when Google auto-updates a profile field (address, hours, category)
  • Engagement drop — weekly alert when calls or impressions fall more than 20% week-over-week
  • Review milestone — notify when a location reaches 50, 100, 250 reviews

Routing Configuration

Alerts are routed to specific account managers based on location assignments. This is configured in Settings — each location is assigned to one or more account managers who receive that location's alerts.

Alerts can be sent immediately (for new reviews) or batched into a daily digest at a configured time.

Why Profile Change Alerts Matter

Google occasionally auto-edits business profiles based on user suggestions or crawled data. These edits can change business hours, addresses, or even business names without the owner's explicit approval. The GBP Hub profile change alert catches these edits immediately so the NKP team can review and revert incorrect changes before they impact the client's local rankings.
